Shabbat in the Park
Join JVP Charlotte for our Shabbat in the Park on the first Friday of every month. We rotate parks so check back here for the updated location.

Passover Seder
Passover in the Park
The festival of Passover in the year 5785 (or 2025!) is nearly here. Passover Celebrates our liberation from bondage. If your feelings on such a celebration right now are complicated, you aren’t alone. Jewish Voice for Peace Charlotte invites you, your family, and (if you’d like to bring one) a potluck dish to a liberation Seder in the park. We would love for you to join us in community, ritual, meal-sharing, and a commitment to the liberation of all people, from here to Palestine and beyond.
Sign up to bring something to share on our signup genius (link).

Book Club and Discussion Group
Join us for our monthly virtual book club. This month we are reading Let This Radicalize You.

Open House
We invite you to join us for an Open House, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet members of our group and learn about the work we’ve been doing over the past year.
As the right continues to gain power, it’s more important than ever that the Jewish community stands in solidarity with all oppressed peoples. Now is the time to take action for the safety and well-being of all. If you’ve been searching for a political home for Jews on the left during this perilous moment, if you’ve been wanting a Jewish community with justice at the center, or if you’ve been looking to turn your rage and gief into meaningful, strategic action—this is the place for you. You belong here.

Shabbat in the Park
Shabbat in the Park and Purim!
Join us on the first Friday of the month for a Shabbat in the Park. This month’s Shabbat will double as a family friendly early Purim Celebration! Crafts provided and costumes encouraged!
We will gather for ritual and a casual potluck/picnic — please feel free to bring food, but it’s not required. We would just love to have your presence! We’ll light candles and make kiddush before eating and being together.

Tashlich Ritual and Workshop
B’tzelem Elohim, every life is precious. Every parent, child, grandchild that has been killed in the past year was someone else’s entire world.
8 Myths of Israel
We’re hosting a deep dive into eight myths and misunderstandings about Israel. We’re going to dig into questions like “Did Arabs support the Nazis?” “Have Jews & Arabs ever gotten along?” and “Who really is indigenous to the region?”

Israelism Screening
Jewish Voice For Peace Charlotte invites you to a screening of Israelism, the documentary that follows a young Jewish American college student through her eye opening trip to Palestine, and asks the questions she couldn’t get answered.

New Member Meeting
Join us virtually to learn more about Charlotte’s Jewish Voice for Peace Pod! Whether you’re ready to join the Pod or just looking to learn more, you’re welcome.
